There's unfinished business within the Catholic church. With accusations of sexual abuse and criticism directed at the highest levels of priestly power, how is the church restoring trust? And what about the victims? Trauma and Transformation within the church. Let's put it in Context.
Lorna's Wrap
When abuse happens in the church - here's why it's so devastating. The church was called to represent Jesus on earth. God's holy body. What's remarkable is what we learn from survivors of sexual abuse - that they have discovered Jesus is as claimed -- more powerful and loving than any religion or any representative of that faith. Survivors also take comfort in the dire warnings that Jesus gave to those who would abuse children. They take comfort in the Biblical truth that evil can be stopped and good results can grow out of what the devil intended to destroy us with.
