Ending human trafficking in Canada

Our own listening ears and eyes are part of ending human trafficking in Canada.

Two big vulnerabilities that open girls up to trafficking are this: they feel unheard and unnoticed.
Unheard, “I actually don’t have enough to live on.”
Unnoticed, “I feel so ugly ….”

Into both those needs, traffickers listen – on a girls social media, at school at the mall, they listen to girls, and validate the vulnerable persons feelings. Then they move in with generosity, and they build trust.

If human traffickers can engage unheard and unnoticed vulnerable girls– how about us?
That’s the kind of Canada we want to build – get involved in a better tomorrow.
